Research Experience

Academic research positions and contributions.

Research Assistant — Wireless Sensing & Embedded Systems (WiSE) Lab

  • Designed machine learning models and processing workflows for ultrasonic smart speaker systems capable of tasks ranging from room reconstruction to people counting and localization.
  • Developed an embedded platform with the learning algorithms implemented and evaluated in real-world environments.
  • Contributed to the development of real-time operating systems.

Research Assistant — Mobile and Vehicular Network Lab (MVNL)

  • Developed predictive models and simulators in collaboration with Intel Labs to evaluate vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) applications.
  • Conducted original research in vehicular networking, visible light communication (VLC), and visible light localization.
